Everything you need to know about AIS 140 in Haryana
All commercial vehicles operating under a Haryana RTO permit — including state transport buses, school buses, contract carriages, taxis, goods vehicles, and ambulances — must have an AIS 140 certified GPS device installed.
The Haryana Transport Department and regional RTOs enforce AIS 140 compliance. State transport corporations have their own control rooms that integrate live data from AIS 140 devices.
The device transmits real-time GPS coordinates, speed, direction, ignition status, and emergency/panic button alerts to the MoRTH VAHAN server and the Haryana state monitoring portal.
All new commercial vehicles leaving the factory after the mandated date must have AIS 140 devices. Existing fleet vehicles must retrofit before fitness certificate renewal is issued. RTOs have been actively enforcing this requirement.
Dhundhoo provides ARAI-certified AIS 140 devices with installation support across Haryana. Our platform integrates with VAHAN and provides live fleet dashboards in addition to government compliance reporting.
